Building Your Own Home
Phase Two of Home Construction
In the second stage of building your own home, you will still be working with concrete to finish the driveway construction. This includes the flatwork, sidewalk, and approach. During this stage you will also be working on the grading to establish drainage away from the foundation; and prepare the site for delivery of framing materials so that you can begin construction. Once appropriate drainage is established, you will receive delivery of frame I and begin framing the first floor of your home. Also during this stage it is going to be important that you order your windows and doors, as well as your cabinets. All of these are typically long lead items and you do not want to end up losing time during construction as you wait on these important items.
