After the house is bricked, garage doors are installed, and cornice punch is complete, it is ready for the topcoat,

The following materials are to be supplied by the paint contractor to topcoat the house:

  • Exterior Paint Siding and Trim (Jones-Blair ProMax Satin House Paint)
  • Exterior Paint Front Doors (Jones-Blair Poly Flex House and Trim)
  • Exterior Paint Brick Lintels (Jones-Blair Rust Gloss Alkyd 5935) Trainsmoke (99-255-21)
  • Exterior Flashing and Roof Stacks (Jones-Blair ProMax Satin House Paint)
  • Trainsmoke (99-255-21)
  • Exterior Metal Doors & Garage Door (Jones-Blair ProMax Satin House Paint)
  • Exterior Caulk (Powerpoint 200)
  • Exterior Spackle (Crawford’s Spackling)

The paint contractor putties all nail holes and caulks all joints in siding and soffit areas,

The painter completely caulks around all windows, between the edge of siding and brick, and between door trim and brick, Next, the painter sprays the trim color where required and paints/stains the highlights (shutters, rough cedar, etc),

All wood shutters back primed before installation,

All lintels are painted at this time.

Checklist:

  • All caulking complete.
  • All nail holes puttied.
  • All paint cut in.
  • Highlights completed.
  • Paint color as specifIed.
  • Caulking completc around windows, doors and expansion joints.
  • No paint on shingles or brick.
  • No runs or holidays.
  • Chimney, roof stacks and vent pipe painted.
  • Jobsite clean.
  • Do not clean brushes, bucket, or airless on fJatwork or at the side of the house.
